Charles Dickens was a famous English writer.

Charles Dickens was born in 1815 in Portmouth, England.
 
In 1824 his father to prison for debt and that time Charles was 12 and worked in a factory.  

In 1827 he was 15 and he worked as clerk.

In 1832 he was 20 and he worked as a reporter in several  newspapers.

In 1836 he married Catherine Hogarth and in 1848 they separated.

He made several trips:  to United States in 1842, and to Italy and France from 1844 to 1845.
He wrote Oliver Twist in 1839, A Christmas Carol in 1844, David Copperfield in 1850.

In 1870 he died and was burried in Westminster Abbey.
