a) 4x + 8y = 2 b) 3a + 2b = 7
x - 4y = 5 4a + 6b =1

x-3y = -17
2x +4y = 6
-2x+6y = 34
2x+4y = 6
10y = 40
y = 40/10 = 4
b) 2a +3b = -2
4a +b = 6
2a +3b = -2
-12a -3b = -18
-10 a = -20
a = -20/-10 = 2
c ) 4x+8y = 2
x -4y = 5
4x+8y = 2
-4x +16y = -20
24y = -18
y = -18/24 = -3/4
3a +2b = 7
4a +6b =1
-9a -6b = -21
4a +6b = 1
-5a = -20
a = 4
